  1. Trowel UI and Starting Methods.

The Trowel add-on has two user interfaces:

a. Trowel panel: Located in the 3D Viewport's Sidebar (press N).

b. Trowel menu: Located in the Geometry Nodes editor.

  1. Workflow.

a. Select a bond type from the Trowel N-Panel UI or from the Geometry Nodes editor add menu.

b. To build a new brick set, click on the Build Set button. Users can also create custom brick sets from selected object (brick) by holding Ctrl while pressing Build Set.

c. Trowel automatically sets up Lowpoly and Hipoly collections for your brick set.

d. To sync collections, drag and drop new Lowpoly and Hipoly collections to the UI collection fields, select the desired Group node, and press Sync Collections +.

e. Apply Trowel to one or multiple objects by selecting them before executing the add-on with Lay Bricks button.

f. To switch to a different bond type in the Geometry Nodes Editor, simply select the new type in the Trowel UI, then click on 'Sync Collections +' while holding the Ctrl key on your keyboard.

g. If you wish to use the Curve as Input, the wall height will depend on the curve's radius. You can adjust the radius either in Edit mode or directly in the Node Editor using the 'Curve Radius Node'.

Please note that when using different brick sizes or custom brick sets, you may need to adjust the initial geometry of your walls to accommodate the variations. This ensures optimal results and allows you to create the perfect brick wall design for your project.

a. Line Mask: Create a horizontal line of bricks with adjustable width and noisiness.

b. Height Mask: Mask out bricks from the top, with options for straight or noisy edges.

c. Object Mask: Mask bricks using the border of a given object or an Empty object.

d. Noise Mask: Mask bricks with a noise pattern, with adjustable parameters.

e. Invert and combine masks for additional effects and results.
