This Geometry Node system converts a basic text object to an adjustable and dynamic store sign with optional pigeon defense spikes. In combination with a well maintained font library or online free fonts, this becomes a powerful tool for every city scene.
Simply update the text input in edit mode.
The setup really benefits from post processed glow. The in-viewport bloom option of EEVEE gives you a great work experience. Cycles does post processing only with a rendered image. Therefor the text can look a bit dull in the viewport.
The system is very robust and should work with most fonts. Problems may occur with those that have very small details. Eroded/destroyed fonts are not very usable for instance, but that can also be said about the real world counterpart.
Read the documentation site for an explanation on all parameters.
