This is a great addon! Very intuitive and easy to pick up! My only reccommendation would be more characters, 10 is a good number to work with but more would help. Also more customisation with the character speed. I notice some of the characters look like they are moving too slow or fast with one particular speed. Its not possible to have all look like they are moving naturally, this is more a problem with the running characters not so much walking. My last reccomendation would be to add further customisation options with regards to the position and distance of the characters in the crowd. I feel like I have to tweak alot just to get a tiny bit of position randomisation. Great job though! This has been very useful!

      Hi Micah,
Thank you very much for the kind review and input. Definately keeping these ideas in mind for future updates!

In my experience, this is a very good and helpful tool. The regular updates so far, which I hope for in the future, are also commendable. There is nothing worse than outdated addons.

INSANITY!! Need zombos???? This HAS ZOMBOS!!! Really hoping we get some more "hordes" of things, like animals, crazy crackheads, MAGA guys, and angry strippers (in an R-rated version of course).

I was looking for a quick crowd solution for a zombie short film project and i have been shifted to blender lately, i came across this add-on and volaa!! My job was done with ease! I know its not super powerful like houdini etc because its not a CROWD SIMULATOR but a crowd genrator, for small projects its a GOOD TO GO!

I just have a question, how i can change emitter position for boid emitter? Right now they are only emitting from one direction, if i want to throw the human on the wall from right direction how i can do that, please tell me the solution!

Thanks! Also i'm waiting for new update some day for adding our own CUSTOM characters/animationsa and their colors!
    Thanks,

    GOOD JOB TEAM!

    Thanks for the great add-on.
Anyway...can I be able to randomly choose from several different colors of clothing for my current character? Can I make my character a crowd?

It's a very good add-on. It is very easy to operate. There is a suggestion that in its new updated version, it should be necessary to edit the character according to your own and then add the character of your choice. So that it can be used even better.

What a fun little tool. Watching my characters scurry about really made me chuckle! Despite its simplicity and ease of use, it quickly makes believable crowd scenes with thousands of characters.

I really hope we get to see more features and extra character packs, or even just altered clothing and/or material sets (industrial, military, historical, sci-fi etc), which I would happily buy. Maybe open it up to third-party packs?

Some initial suggestions would be: a user-definable palette to colour the clothing – so you could have everyone in similar uniforms if you wanted, or have whatever random crazy colour scheme you needed.

More specificity about which characters were being used – like selecting a number of individuals from a set. This would also tie in with the above suggestion, so if you had a single character in a suit, say, you could choose your own colour scheme, with a set degree of variation.

And, of course, some way of avoiding collisions and character interpenetration.

But so far, I'm happy with my purchase (frankly I can't believe I'm only the second one to comment on it). I really hope development continues because for the price this a really great way for lazy people like me to populate their scenes.

An extremely useful tool for productions, blockout and building your shots, even your full scene.
The talented guys at Lightarchitecht are always ready to surprise with production ready, simple to use tools for your VFX shots and needles to say how great their support all the time.
So many shots were already built and delivered with Lightarchitecht tools in Hollywood and they work and blend in real time environments so smoothly that you won’t be able to tell ever.
HORDE will show up in many shots for Disney, Netflix and Hulu in the future for sure.
Congratulations on your amazing new tool🎈🍾🎉🎊
