Barcelona Chair

Barcelona Chair

This is a model of Barcelona Chair designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe in 1928 for Barcelona Pavilion (from 1929). It is very suitable for architectural visualizations. The extremely low price is only for the Blender Market. The model, renders, materials, lighting, finishing touches took no less than 16 hours of my work. I hope you'll enjoy it. All of my cut is going to the Blender Development Fund, this is my way of saying thank you. Adding into a scene is straightforward. File -> Append or Link -> Select BarcelonaChair.blend file -> Choose Groups -> Choose BarcelonaChair - DONE!

Model

Model polycount ranges from about 60.000 to 450.000 triangles depending on subdivisions and bevel segments. Geometry is as clean as possible and every part of the chair is properly named and separated. Modifiers are used whenever possible - Lattice for Cushions, Bevel, Edge Split, Subsurf, Solidify. You might want to lower subdivisions for the objects in complex scenes or when the chair is far away. Model is scaled and modelled according to production right owner (not design trademark owner) of the chair: http://www.knoll.com/product/barcelona-chair

Materials

There are 4 materials in total. You can customize Leather materials via yellow nodes pretty easily. Leather (all around customizable material for bumpy leather of any color) Leather Cushions (tailored for custom UV mapped models of cushions) Steel (extremely simple material of stainless unscratched clean steel with almost sharp reflections) Floor (great material for wooden floors, very easy to understand)

Textures

Product file size is 66MB, most of it is textures which are very high resolution and in .png lossless file format. Seamless leather textures are 3333x3333 px and seamless floor textures are 2934x2304 px. Floor material has diffuse, specular and bump textures Leather material has diffuse, specular and three normal textures (one for leather, two for creases) All textures are packed into the .blend file. To unpack them: File -> External Data-> Uncheck "Automatically Pack into .blend"-> File (again) -> External Data -> Unpack all into files
