Love the development on Pure-Sky Pro, the toolset is an absolute necessity when it comes to world building, and it flies on E-Cycles.

Good idea but it is extremely buggy and slow. I work with Ryzen 5950x + RTX 3080ti +64GB Ram and still having issues using the addon. Would appreciate a refund. Thank you

I would first like to say thank you to the developer(s) of this addon - Not trying to bash the addon, just sharing some experiences for other users.

Unfortunately this is nearly unusable for anything other than what the advertisement presets show you. I'm hoping that after a few updates it could be great, but for right now (5.1.15) it is slow, clunky, and full of bugs. I'm on a threadripper and 3090 + 3080 and it's painfully slow. I will say the presets are fairly impressive, but customizing your own looks starts to expose the bugs. There is no way to move the clouds on xyz. The intensity or brightness of the sky cannot be changed without lowering the position of the sun. Even after adding fog, there is no way to alter the interaction of the light with the atmosphere and volumetrics. Some of the presets simply don't work and there is really no way to change the cloud properties without using a preset. It would be great to see more customization options in the future for the sky/atmosphere/clouds separately.

I'd happily say Pure-sky is the best looking dynamic/procedural sky addon on the blender market place, but it's always been insanely slowly, very unstable, tedious to use and this update for me has been very divisive.
On one hand I'm so happy to see it in a place where I don't have to amend a collection to my project and all the presets.
On the other hand it makes blender crash a lot, it's dragged sample count and colour management into it's tool bar and it feels far more restrictive.

So, if you want some of the best skies this community can offer and don't mind a unstable and tedious controls, this is 100% the addon for you. It's strengths it wears proudly but it's got notable downfalls.

Fantastic add-on so far! Used it in almost any scene I create now. I've always despised HDRI's because they lacked control and stylization look.

    Though, I do have one issue;

When I add PureSky to my scene, I can no longer scrub through my animation timeline without Blender shooting itself and crashing.

My temporary fix is to just make another scene, append previous scene objects, animate, then add PureSky for the final render...but that's a bit too work-aroundy...

Was curious to if there was an actual fix to this?

The best addon you can get for stunning results! I don't have to worry about lighting anymore because right out of the box, this addon just makes my scenes look beautiful. There are a lot of editable settings which you can tweak to get just the result you want.

The developer also responded to and solved my problem very quickly (within a day).

    You won't regret it.

Very nice product, but somehow unfinished. Yet you can of course be happy with whats inside. I'm mostly off, not seeing a big issue in learning it however things could be bit better.
    - It really needs a documentation, even short.
    - It should have sample scenes to quickly start. I recommend the preset scene or the animated Skys. Why not simple incl. them?
    - I miss a base altitude. Anyone into aviation do not really want to bring everything high up. So maybe an offset would be cool. Also if you do a space station, you do not want to model it 8 km above ground.
    - Some presets are missing, like a ground. Even if you just simple it helps getting a feeling. Also a mountain wouldn't be difficult. Maybe a start file (sample) could help.
Else, the tool has a lot to offer and it can surely be extended.
For example, there are many VDB clouds free to download, or you can even generated them quickly in Embergen. So why not have a view clouds quickly added for static pictures clouds? (at least thats what I do)

Hello, Thanks for your ideas, don't hesitate to join the Discord to exchange with the community and share your tips. For the documentation it has been updated. We will examine the possibilities to include VDB clouds.
