Easy Eevee Raytrace

by Washington Filho in Render Setups

This is a scene settled up for Eevee getting help from Cycles in the background.

Cycles here will help with lighting and shadowing, so Eevee will get the benefits of ray trace for accuracy and more realism without necessary use of Environment Probes. You just need to render and all magic will happens.

Be aware that this approach may double your regular Eevee render time, but the benefits of It worth, trust me.

This scene contain a single plane for you to drop your models, append your scene or start a new one from scratch.

The only thing you have to give maybe couple minutes of attention is to change some object IDs. So:

1. Do not delete the plane that comes with the scene. You can hide into a collection If you want.

2. This plane contain the material reference for Object IDs. You may want to check the references selecting the plane and visualizing the material.

3. You have to change the object ID's for anything that is glass (change to ID 1), emissive objects (change to ID 2), and transparent objects (change to ID 3), otherwise the render may not go as good as It should on those objects.
