5 Tips to Get your Products Approved Fast

Whether you're a new Creator or have been with us from the beginning, here are a few tips for creating products that get approved, so you can start selling...fast.

Keep Your Product Generic

The #1 issue I see with new Creators is that their products are way too specific.

Let's look at these two coffee tables: if these where both for sale on the Market, which one do you think would be more useful to a customer doing Archviz renders?

While they are both quality assets, it's safe to say that the non-NES table would be useful to a wider group of customers. Plus, it's easy to change the color of the glass to make it fit their scene (or multiple scenes), as needed. The NES table is too niche and difficult to customize, lowering its chances of being sold.

Make It Useful

I'll say it again: make your products useful! How do you do that? Keep them in well organized and efficient files, packing as much value in them as you can. Are you making some couch models? Throw in some extra fabric shaders that work well and look great. These small changes won't take long, but increases your products' value dramatically, making them more usable and more attractive to customers.

Think About Your Customer

Your customers are looking to purchase a product that will either save them time, money, or both. Ask yourself, "How can I help my customers out? What pains them? What can I do to make their lives easier?" The more value you add to your products, the more successful they will be.

Make a Pack

Know what's better than a great product? A great pack of products. Let's say you're creating a kitchen table: this tends to be a simple asset, right? Instead of creating one table and selling it for $2, you can take the extra time and make 6 different tables for $10.

Offering a 6-piece package dramatically increases the value customers see in your product. At the same time, you're creating a product that will make you more $$$ with each sale.

Don't Skimp on Images and Description

Don't underestimate the importance of good quality images (make sure to upload at least 6). We've touched on the importance of good images and good product descriptions in other posts, but it's worth saying again. Make your images look great, but don't forget about explaining the product well also. When writing descriptions, think about your customers: spell out to them how the product will help them. When scanning through products, your customers are looking for how products will benefit them: so make it easy for them to see how they will benefit from your product!

A good rule of thumb is to spend as much time writing your product description as you spend on making your images.
